On the site of a former harbor, on the boundary between Karlín and Libeň, a new modern district has grown up symbolizing harmony between the waters of the Vltava, lush greenery and luxurious living.
“The individual buildings are incorporated into undulating park greenery, where we tried to make a view of the river available to every dwelling in the DOCK. Every building is slightly different in its colors, geometry, and, to some extent, in its materials, so that its residents can identify it more easily,” said Eduard Trembulák of Ian Bryan Architects to explain the concept.
Architecture that brought new life to a brownfield site
Offices were given equal attention in the DOCK project, with exclusive views of the Vltava River, its own park, a marina, and a running track. All this can be found just ten minutes from Prague’s city center.
